I named this project Meteorite; after I had made two balls from black clay and they reminded me of meteorites. I have begun to think of the strand as a proposal for a larger piece of work where I would have a room with two foot tall, meteorite balls scattered through it for the viewer to walk between.
Pit / incinerator fired ceramics. Heated in the oven for an hour before being covered in sawdust and a fired built on top.

Pallas’s cat is a small wild cat having a broad but patchy distribution in the grasslands and montane steppe of Central Asia. The species is negatively affected by habitat degradation, prey base decline, and hunting, and has therefore been classified as ‘Near Threatened’ by IUCN since 2002.

The second in my Louse series following: The Printed Louse
these lice are hand carved from semi hardened porcelain and black clay.
These sculptures are going to on display at the Corinium museum in Cirencester in a UWE exhibition opening 16th of may.
